Accessibility

In our continuing effort to increase the functionality of our site, some sections of Disability Inclusion Jobs may not be entirely compatible with accepted accessibility standards.

Disability Inclusion Jobs is working to make these sections accessible as quickly as possible. In addition, some of our partners’ sites are not yet Bobby compliant; we are working with our partners to encourage increased accessibility.

Purpose

Disability Inclusion Jobs's purpose is to connect our community members with employers looking to hire within our community. Disability Inclusion Jobs is simply acting as a conduit to connect you with a potential employer. Disability Inclusion Jobs expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, or injury arising out of a relationship between one of our members and an employer who met on our site. Any difficulties that may arise between a community member and employer that have met on our site is solely between that community member and that employer and both will hold Disability Inclusion Jobs harmless for any liability, damage or loss.

Please check back periodically to be informed of any changes or additions to this policy. We do not anticipate that our philosophy of protecting User information from inappropriate uses and disclosures will change. However, as Disability Inclusion Jobs will be engaged in an ongoing dialogue with private and public bodies (such as TrustE) to ensure that our usage guidelines remain up to date, this policy statement will be modified to reflect refinements, improvements, and changes in our Web site.


Our Policy

Disability Inclusion Jobs is especially concerned about winning and maintaining the trust of the people in our community. Very often, we hear the question, “Will my privacy be respected?” The answer is a resounding “Yes!” Disability Inclusion Jobs is dedicated not only to advocating on behalf of our community, but also to supporting an individual’s right to have their personal information held in the strictest confidence.

Because we value your privacy we will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent. All Users of our site may make any changes to their information at anytime by logging into their account then click on the Account Details button and make any changes you wish.

Disability Inclusion Jobs does not collect personally identifiable information about individuals except when specifically, knowingly and voluntarily provided by such individuals. Disability Inclusion Jobs and its job distribution partner may use User emails to distribute site related information. A User’s personally identifiable information will not be transferred, sold or loaned to any third party unless otherwise stated at the time of collection unless a User clicks on or gives information to any advertisement listed on our site (see "Advertisments" section below).

Disability Inclusion Jobs may use an adult User’s personally identifiable information to deliver to that User alone personalized content, relevant to our mission and other directed messages. In all such cases, our intent is to better serve our community by providing individual Users access to information, and services that correspond with their personal preferences, expressed interests, or apparent site usage. Individuals have the right to stop their personally identifiable information from being used for such marketing and promotional purposes by sending an e-mail request to us at the address given at the end of this privacy policy. Also, any individual always has the right not to use the Disability Inclusion Jobs Web site and thereby not to receive any directed content at any time.

While your individual information is protected as outlined above, we reserve the right to use aggregated, anonymous data about our Users as a group, based on site usage or expressed interests.

Disability Inclusion Jobs may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is also used to gather broad demographic information.

It should also be noted that this Web site contains links to other sites. Disability Inclusion Jobs is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those Web sites.

Though there may be new Privacy regulations set by governmental agencies from time to time, our stance on never selling or sharing your personal data has always been in place. If you have any questions regarding your personal data, please contact us at any time.

Every registered User on our site can remove their registration and all of their information at will. Simply log into your account then in the dropdown click on the My Account link then scroll down to the end of the page and click the red button that says Cancel My Account and all of your information including your resume if you added one will be removed.

User registration is with our Diversity Job Network.

To apply for a position on our site, a job seeker need not register fully. Simply they can click submit and they will be taken to the employer’s application page.


Advertisements by third parties may exist on Disability Inclusion Jobs that are not related to job listings posted by employers. Disability Inclusion Jobs expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, or injury arising out of a User providing personal information to any advertisements listed on our site. A User who provides personal information also understands they may be redirected to another site as a result of the advertisement. It is possible that third party advertisements may use your IP address to provide up to date or accurate listings of their offerings, and possible that information may be transferred, sold or loaned to a third party. It is a User discretion to provide any personal information to advertisements on Disability Inclusion Jobs.


Surveys

Our online surveys ask visitors for contact information (like their email address) and demographic information (like their zip code, age, or income level). Disability Inclusion Jobs uses contact data from our surveys to send the User information about our company and services to a User’s expressed interests. Contact information may also be used to contact the User when necessary. Users may, however, opt-out of receiving future mailings, as described in the opt-out choice section below. Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site. Disability Inclusion Jobs uses this data to tailor our User’s experience at our site, providing targeted information and services. Job Alerts

Job Alerts are optional to Users. If a User chooses to subscribe to job alerts, the User will be sent jobs according to the preferences provided when creating the job alert. Disability Inclusion Jobs will send a job alert email with jobs based on the preferences of the job alert created by the User. An account for the User may be created based on the job alert subscription so that the User will have the opportunity to update preferences of the job alert to a different email, zip code, or job category. A User may also unsubscribe at any time from receiving the job alert emails.

Resume

If a User chooses to submit a resume, the User will be choosing to allow employers to view the resume content. It is up to the discretion of the User as to what content is included in the resume created on abilitiesinjobs.com. A PDF of the resume content will be available for employers within the Diversity Job Network to view for recruitment, outreach, and employment purposes. User agrees to put only content related to employment into the content section of the resume in a good faith effort to have the resume be seen by potential employers.

If a User is an employer, the employer understands that abilitiesinjobs.com is not responsible for the content put into the content section of the resume by a User. Employer also understands that by downloading files or clicking any links in the resume that Disability Inclusion Jobs is not responsible for what the file contains and it is up to the discretion of the employer to determine any risk in downloading or clicking any links the file contains. Employer will demonstrate good faith in viewing resumes within the Diversity Job Network for the purpose of outreach, recruitment, and employment.


Kids

If you’re under the age of 18, be sure to ask your parents for permission before you send any information about yourself to anyone over the Internet!


Parents

Disability Inclusion Jobs assures you that any personally identifiable information collected by this site from children under the age of 18 will not be transferred, sold, or provided to any third party within our control. An exception would be any advertisements that are not related to job postings on our site listed by a third party (see "Advertisements" section above) that solicit information which could be used (ex. provide an auto insurance quote). No information is required, and is up to the discretion of the User.

Disability Inclusion Jobs should be a place to explore as a family. Disability Inclusion Jobs recommends that adults accompany children when using content on the Internet.


Opt-Out Choice

Users of our site always have the option not to provide us with personal information. If this information is not shared, however, the User will be denied the opportunity to receive targeted communications and offers from us or our partners. Additionally, if a User wants to remove certain pieces of information from our database so as not to receive future communications or to no longer receive our service altogether, that User can send an email to us asking us to remove that information.


Third-Party Services

Disability Inclusion Jobs may also contain links to third-party Web sites or services in job postings or elsewhere. We do not control or have access to the information collected by these third-party services. Payment Processing

We use Stripe as a third-party payment processor. When you make a purchase on our Web site, your payment information is collected and processed by Stripe. This information is necessary to complete your transaction and includes details such as your credit card number, billing address, and other relevant payment information.

We do not store your payment information on our servers. All payment data is securely transmitted and stored by Stripe.


Data Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how our Web site is being used to improve user experience. Google Analytics collects data such as how often users visit the site, what pages they visit, and what other sites they used prior to coming to our site. This information helps us analyze trends and administer the site.

Google Analytics collects anonymized IP addresses and does not gather any personally identifiable information about our users. The data is collected through cookies and similar technologies. These cookies do not contain personal data and are used to differentiate between unique users.

Events Collected:
In addition to general usage data, Google Analytics collects specific events, including but not limited to:

  • Job View: Tracks when a user views a job listing.
  • Apply Click: Tracks when a user clicks on the apply button for a job listing.

These events help us understand user interactions with job listings and improve the services we offer.

Opting Out of Google Analytics:
You can prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visit activity.
