We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel® Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. Job Description:

The Workday Operations Administrator is responsible for activities as it relates to the HCM system for an international organization with operations in North America and China including base configuration, reporting, workflow administration, and functionality. Serves as the key HCM contact with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT. Provides overall support for any HCM system needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and Security teams to oversee the organization's HCM activities including Workforce Administration, Organizational Management, Security Authorization, Payroll Processing, and reporting functionality.
  • Lead the design and implementation of operational processes, procedure, and associated documentation.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for functional users and partners.
  • Maintain internal HCM application, table configuration, and integrations.
  • Develop custom reports to meet the requirements of company management and staff.
  • Function as the Project Manager for all HCM upgrades and projects.
  • Provide technical leadership for HCM issues. Make recommendations for future application needs. Leads the implementation of new HCM modules. Perform basic support functions to ensure system enhancements are implemented properly, efficiently, timely and with the highest quality.
  • Lead cross functional HCM Governance Team.
  • Serve as point of contact to coordinate all HCM system testing which includes upgrades, workflow enhancements, and special projects. Design and execute test scenarios for successful implementation.
  • Manage workflow administration and ensures organizational changes are reflected accordingly.
  • Proactively develop and assist with training and provide coaching to others through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
  • Communicate/create change plans for updates and releases to ensure user experience.
  • Review contracts with third parties and assist in the negotiation of terms and pricing.
  • Stay current on emerging HCM technology topics and emerging solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Human Resources Management, Computer science or related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of direct work experience with HCM/HR Processes (e.g., payroll, time & attendance, benefits administration, recruiting, and performance management) including process development and execution.
  • Experience supporting Workday HCM. Workday certifications desired in particular: core, payroll, and learning.
  • Success implementing projects and solutions that deliver results and provide value to the business.
  • Highly organized with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills.
  • Persuasive, encouraging and motivating.
  • Ability to effectively translate business requests into system requirements.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical team members.

Work Environment:

ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to move easily about a manufacturing factory

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Min. $92,676 to Max $139,013.
