JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

Carboline is expanding our Water Wastewater Market by adding on multiple Water Wastewater Sales Specialists to own the Water Wastewater Sales and Business Development initiatives within an assigned territory. This position is responsible for both selling and generating new business for Carboline's Water Wastewater market which includes maintaining already established customers while also developing new prospects to grow volume, revenue and increase the profitability of this market. This individual will take ownership of the Water Wastewater market in the assigned area by participating in market specific associations and events. This position will report to the Director of Sales within the assigned region and will work closely with local Sales Representatives, Engineering Sales Managers and the Water Wastewater Market Manager.

Requirements:

4 year Business or Technical Degree or equivalent experience, 5-10 years of direct Sales/Business Development experience within the industrial coatings or Water Wastewater industries. Strong communication and presentation skills.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for conducting basic market research in the Water Wastewater market which includes identifying the top owners, buying accounts and purchasing history within the assigned territory

• Develop and carry out market plans to enter and grow Carboline's share of the Water Wastewater market

• Work with Marketing to identify new products for further penetrate into the Water Wastewater market

• Participate on product design and development teams to bring a product from concept to market.

• Develop long-range strategic plans for the Water Wastewater Market (3-year).

• Participate in Water Wastewater specific associations, committees, chapters, trade shows and other and industry events to gain market knowledge and to position Carboline in the forefront of this market space.

• Assemble all necessary product packages, sales training, and support literature to launch an effective market program.

• Responsible for calling on new and existing customers to build sales volume, to remain abreast of customer requirements and to assess market trends.

• Calls on customers and prospective customers to inform them of products, new releases, services available, supply, etc. Provides technical assistance when necessary.

• Responsible for securing and renewing orders; works with customer services and sales management to provide servicing levels required by the customer.

• Builds and maintains a sales program within the territory based on strategic planning including prospecting, new business development, levels of available business and level of repeat business.

• Works effectively with all company personnel and resources to provide full customer service and assure continuing customer satisfaction.

• Applies good judgment and prompt follow through on customer complaints, returns, claims or other problems on products / services provided.

• Gathers and reports significant developments within accounts, prospects competitors and the general market for use by company management in research, analysis and planning purposes.

• Provides annual sales reports detailing target markets and accounts.
