JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Water QualitySupervisor, the Water Quality Specialist/ Coordinator isa key participant in the  Company's waterquality program, and acts as of the main fieldsupport person for water quality and regulatory compliancewith drinking and wastewater standards. 

Specific Responsibilities:
Conducts routine and special sampling tosupport key programs and required lab activities, such as PFAS, DBP,Lead and Copper, LT2 and cryptosporidium
* Works jointly with Engineering, Operations andDistribution departments to resolve or mitigate quality issues byperforming system flushing. Ability to operate fire hydrantsand sampling stations required.
* Supports broader environmental quality efforts by contributingto protection plans
* Participates in the data collection process for AnnualConsumer Confidence Reports.
* Participates in the development ofcommunication items for customers, and customer outreach efforts.
* Special projects and other duties asassigned

Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
* Excellent understanding, verbal, and writtencommunication skills
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent time management skills with a proven ability tomeet deadlines
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or relatedsoftware used by the organization; GIS, and general experience withpresentation of spatial data or statistics preferred; Tableau and OnBase abonus
* Data management and/or systems design and implementationexperience helpful.

Required Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree in environmental sciences, engineering,chemistry, biology or related field OR two years' experience in watertreatment/water chemistry, distribution, facility design, or related

OtherRequirements:
Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and have asatisfactory driving record.
Occasional regional travel to Austin or potentialacquisition sites.
Normal office physical activity requiredwhile utilizing standard office machines.
Frequently lift orcarry boxes of files, equipment or records weighing up to 20 pounds andoccasionally up to 40 pounds
