The VP, Sales - Federal owns all sales responsibility for the company including product, services and renewals. The leader will be responsible for building the sales plan, managing the sales forecasting process, and coaching the entire sales team. This position reports to the President of Optiv+ClearShark.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Managing sales teams and maintaining sales operations.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Working with the marketing department to plan and deliver in-person or virtual marketing events.
  • Identifying markets/territories that we can enter to increase company profit.
  • Recruiting and hiring sales staff (Outside Sales Representatives, Sales Engineers, and Inside Sales Representatives) and developing training programs.
  • Outlining and managing sales budgets.
  • Setting quarterly and annual sales goals and motivating the sales teams to achieve their goals.
  • Monitoring the market and competitor positions/offerings and activities and providing detailed sales forecasting.
  • Selecting and onboarding new OEM partnerships.
  • Creating strategy with Services Leader on GTM with Partners.
  • Responsible for ensuring services are completed and customer satisfaction is documented.
  • Reviewing customer activity, anticipating consumer needs, and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Creating sales reports and providing feedback to the leadership team at company meetings.
  • Establishing and maintaining key customer relationships.
  • Positioning the company to take advantage of macro market trends.
  • Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the chief executive officer and other leadership.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Clearance Preferred
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA preferred not required.
  • At least 15 years of industry-related experience including three years in upper management required.
