Job Summary

New Increased Rates!!

Per Diem Requirement:

• Work a minimum of 4 shifts per month (4 or 8 hour shifts). Shifts may include days, evenings, and Saturdays at Phoenixville Hospital & the Limerick Outpatient Center, according to department needs.
• Take a minimum of 1 weekend of on-call per 8 weeks (Saturday and Sunday)
• take a minimum of 1 holiday of on-call per year (Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving). A second holiday may be required

Ultrasound Technologist:

• performs Ultrasound procedures according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by a licensed physician or their designated health care provider.
• provides information to the patient about the purpose of the ultrasound procedure and responds to the patient's questions and concerns.
• recognizes the patient's individuality and provides quality care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner using professional and ethical judgment.
• maintains continued competence through lifelong learning, which includes continuing education, acquisition of specialty specific credentials, and recredentialing.
• required to perform diverse imaging across the spectrum of sonography.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• Post High School Diploma Program

Certification and Licensure

• BLS Certification
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (OB or AB and RVT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(S) and RT(VS)
• ARDMS OR ARRT (S) if hired as a new graduate, must achieve Vascular Certification within 24 months of graduation
• ARDMS or ARRT (S) hired as a experienced sonographer with 2 years or more experience must acheive Vascular certification within 12 months of hire
