Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Talent Management Specialist to work with our organization to build and implement our corporate strategy of Becoming a Destination Employer. This includes designing & developing our talent management strategies including items such as enhancing our culture, facilitating and building learning & development programs, managing workforce engagement, and leading performance management programs. This position reports to the Director, Talent Management and is responsible for building, designing, developing, implementing, and improving talent management solutions that support Blue Cross of Idaho's employees and leaders.

This role has the ability to be based in a hybrid work location and/or work remotely within a mutually acceptable location. Would need to be in office for in person events. #LI-Remote; #LI-Hybrid

To be considered for this opportunity, you have the following:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years (level II) or 4 years (level III) relevant experience in human resources, leadership development and/or talent management

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)

We'd also love it if you had:

  • Prior experience with program/project management
  • Prior experience in talent management including learning & development, curriculum design, training methodologies, and online education
  • Prior experience facilitating, training, and presenting to senior leadership at all levels
  • Education or certification in executive or performance coaching
  • Prior experience leading teams in order to facilitate leadership development training programs

Here's what your day may look like:
  • Work with Talent Management Team, HR Business Partners, HR Technology Team, and BCI leaders (and employees) to create and implement strategies, programs, and technologies that best educate and prepare leaders and team members to achieve business results with our corporate focus on becoming a destination employer.
  • Collaborate with business areas as a strategic thought partner to assess needs, recommend development solutions, then craft and deliver targeted OD programs. Evaluate, and measure effectiveness and impact, and track participant's progression.

Responsible for leading all programmatic aspects including analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating (ADDIE) assigned programs. This includes coordination of the big picture and all associated details for programs including managing all logistics such as, but not limited to:
  • strategic analysis
  • in person and virtual classroom facilitation
  • communication with participants and business partners
  • pre-work coordination and post-work sustainment
  • use of software such as LinkedIn Learning and Workday LMS
  • development & management of assessments and reports
  • coordination of ALL deliverables (facilitator guides, participant guides, communication plan, and all other program materials)
  • prioritization of work in partnership with teams
  • keep up with current trends in talent development with respect to development concepts, modalities and program initiatives
  • facilitate instructor-led training/meeting sessions as needed
  • after action evaluation and review
  • programmatic renovation post implementation
  • Partner with vendors to ensure quality service is being provided
  • Enjoys working on a team and independently
  • Performs other duties as assigned
