Job Description

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Client Service Representatives and Report Writing teams
  • Provides training and ensures accuracy of open orders and execution and delivery of external client reports
  • Assume leadership responsibility for departmental tasks and activities as required.
  • Participate in meetings and recommend changes to policies and procedures.
  • Communicate client order concerns to the Operation, Sales and Account Management teams as required by account SOP or other defined client requirements
  • Create a team culture of proactive communication, efficiency and problem-solving
  • Working with the Laboratory Manager and lab personnel, writes or reviews protocols and test plans for method development, feasibility, transfer, verification and validation projects 0
  • Develops, reviews, submits and files reports on client sample tests, correlation tests, calibration, validation and other projects.
  • Work closely with operation leaders to identify and resolve roadblocks in processes and practices
  • Develop processes, work schedules and assign duties to direct report personnel to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensures full compliance with the company's Health and Safety Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct Policies
  • Perform other duties as needed
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides guidance and/or leadership to others, including indirect reports, peers, or managers
  • Has hiring and terminating responsibilities
  • Supervises others
  • Number of employees directly reporting - 5
  • Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
  • Understanding of the company Quality Management System ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 requirements in related tasks
  • Ability to follow directions ensuring the end results are accurate and completed with the required timeframe
  • Well organized with strong sense of responsibility for project and time management
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences or related discipline - Required
  • 2+ years of related laboratory experience - Required
  • Master's degree in Scientific or related discipline in combination with the experience listed above - Preferred
