Position OverviewHaworth Hall, various classrooms Job DescriptionThe student will assist with activities related to a summer program, including scheduling appointments, hosting campus tours and social events, and event planning for the Biology REU program in the summer. An important aspect of the position is selecting and ordering food for working lunches, receiving food at the event location, or picking up food, if needed. Required Qualifications

1. The student should be available to work on campus from late May to the end of July
2. The student should have car insurance
3. The student should be available in the 10:30am to noon time frame on 3-4 days during the week (the number of days required will vary)
4. The student should be available July 22 to July 26.
5. During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments)
   

Preferred Qualifications

1. Previous experience with program or event management
2. Previous experience with administrative planning
