Job Information

The Standards Engineer will support the company's global internal Engineering standards process and procedures for optimum utilization and Engineering conformity while representing Bobcat Company's interests in Doosan global standardization initiatives.

Location(s): Bismarck, ND; Gwinner, ND; West Fargo, ND; Statesville, NC; Johnson Creek, WI; Minneapolis, MN

Role & Responsibility

Technical Support and Training

• Provide guidance regarding programs and/or processes used within Product Engineering such as Supplier Database, Internal Standards Development, and Common Parts Database.

Internal Engineering Standards Development & Maintenance

• Create/revise, ballot, and publish internal Bobcat Engineering standards and best practices, including archiving previous versions.
• Manage standards revision processes within global review teams
• Provide guidance on internal processes associated with document revisions.
• Encourage participation in standards development from sources in various engineering disciplines located within all Doosan Bobcat sites worldwide.
• Maintain and foster working relations with 3rd party sources and suppliers to ensure compliance with incoming materials.

Engineering Databases Administration

• Maintain designated be450 Engineering databases such as:
  • Supplier Database
  • Common Parts Database
  • Acronyms Database

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in General Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in design engineering, testing or other work experiences associated with the application of internal or industry standards.
• High level of maturity and poise with the ability to influence and persuade a variety of audiences both internally and externally
• Position requires a high degree of independence with the ability to manage one's workload and schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and patience in working with multiple global audiences is required.
• Must be proficient in using MS Office tools
• Experience 0 - 15 years
• Travel < 10%
