Job Details:

The expectations of this position is to lead and direct team members and contractors to perform production support activities to achieve production objectives as established by the Complex Manager and the Director of GP Production. The essential functions of this position are as follows: achieve flock production objectives; achieve flock health status; achieve flock genetic objectives; maintain QA facility and production equipment; develop qualified team members; and achieve regulatory compliance. Requirements: Education and Experience: College degree (or equivalent experience) with 3+ years of progressive experience in field of expertise, or advanced degree with limited experience Accountability/Role: Experienced professional position requiring an understanding of broad concepts related to a professional field. Requires ability to work independently on moderately complex assignments with minimal supervision. Interprets and expands on complex and diverse procedures. Computer Skills: Standard skills are required. This position requires in working with Excel spreadsheets and data within several other computer applications. Travel: Minimal travel. Supervisory Responsibility: Manages one (1) salaried manager and twenty (20+) hourly team members. Physical Requirements: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment Required: When visiting facilities is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment. Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the work day. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds). The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
