Sr. Information Security Consultant

Job Description:

• Client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant for a contract to hire opportunity in our Information Security and Risk Management division.
• This is an information security governance/oversight position that is responsible for assessing the adequacy of security controls and gathering evidence/assurance to assess vendor performance in managing security solutions.

• 6+ years of experience in IT or IS setting
• Working knowledge of information security standards (ISO, COBIT, NIST, etc.)
• Subject matter expertise and/or proficiency in application and enforcement of information security policy, standards, and best practices (i.e. access control, system hardening, incident handling, etc.)
• Technical background in some combination of networking, firewalls, security monitoring, security architecture, vulnerability management, penetration testing
• Strong communication skills - must be able to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience in written and verbal formats
• Prior experience building and maintaining relationships with service provider and complementary functions with the organization (IT, Audit, Compliance, Risk)
