Dexcom is a high-growth, fast-paced environment where you work with leading-edge, high-motivated software teams to develop the modern diabetes medical device systems. We're seeking a senior software developer to help in designing and developing our next generation of software for cloud-based services. You will work alongside highly skilled and passionate innovators who know how to deliver exceptional results while also having some fun along the way.

For this role you will be working as a Sr. Software Engineer on our rapidly growing Dexcom PKI team helping to support the secure design and development of our products and services. Experience with designing, developing, and securing medical devices, desktop and mobile applications, and cloud services is needed.

As a member of the R&D Cybersecurity PKI team you will be responsible for working with the various development teams, product owners, and product managers to ensure that the security features necessary to properly secure our products are properly designed and developed.

The ideal candidate is one who has experience with developing PKI, identity management, and key management solutions.

Where you come in:

  • You design, implement, and support PKI, device identity management, and key management with respect to Dexcom software and associated services
  • You play a leading role in designing and developing software using popular development tools such as Visual Studio .NET and Visual Studio Code
  • You work with other engineering and QA teams to support system testing, system integration, and system deployment in a production capacity
  • You execute on technical requirements and other documents in software development lifecycle process.
  • You support production and perform system troubleshooting when necessary
  • You mentor other junior and middle-level developers

What makes you successful:
  • Proficiency in software development lifecycle process
  • Proficiency in common programming languages such as C# and Java.
  • Proficiency in cloud development and containerized Docker applications
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET to develop Windows applications and services
  • Familiar with SQL Server and other Relational Databases as well as database design and implementation of tables, views and stored procedures
  • Hands-on experience of developing and deploying a cloud-based system via CI/CD pipeline
  • Able to identify gaps and then enable team to address those gaps
  • Additionally, it is strongly preferred to have:
    • Experience deploying applications with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform
    • Experience with development in Kotlin, Scala and with IntelliJ IDE
    • Good knowledge of PKI fundamentals and best practices
    • Good understanding of cryptography including the principles related to PKI, private keys, encryption methods, digital signing algorithms.

  • 5-15%

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
