Position Overview

Specialist, Product Management/Marketing - Financial Services

We are looking for a detail-oriented, well organized, and highly motivated individual who's looking for an opportunity to have an impact satisfying our financial clients. This integral member of the Financial Services team will report directly to the Executive Director, Product Management & Marketing. You will be responsible for helping to manage a portfolio of businesses that are important to our client base and ensuring that clients receive accurate and on time communications. It's an existing group to join that sits in the middle of NPD and allows you to have visibility to multiple global businesses. This position will be based in Port Washington, NY. Open to various locations.

Overall Responsibilities:

Product Management:

• Coordinate with global product managers and communicate new product launches suited for financial clients.
• Assist with pricing, packaging of current and future offerings
• Own relationship with Operations, IT, and/or other support departments to articulate product requirements and manage the needs of the Practice.
• Manage the client commuications for all data upgrades across businesses that financial clients subscribe.
• Gather market requirements through client interviews and feedback from Client Development, Sales and Analysts to recommend data enhancement and new category opportunities.
• Manage delivery & maintenance of select custom Financial Services deliverables (i.e. EquityWatch)
• Identify drivers of what can help increase value with new stocks and new services that NPD launches
• Support Executive Director on both new product initiatives and existing product development execution.

Marketing:

• Drive content for lead nurturing/generation and collaborate with sales and marketing on execution
• Maintain sales collateral with up-to-date information across all businesses
• Liaison with corporate marketing
• Collaborate with client development & sales team to identify new sell side banks for analyst days and help manage those events.
• Build out prospecting lists (work with sales and client development team)
• Support Executive Director on existing relationships including vendors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field with 3-5 years of experience within a Financial Institution or Market Research/Data Insights organization.
• Candidates with financial service industry background a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work with data to generate impactful and engaging analyses to assist with lead nurturing and lead generation marketing.
• Understanding of how Point-of-Sale data is used to make important business decisions.
• Passionate about driving change and improving processes.
• Strong analysis and writing ability - digests diverse data sets into cohesive and succinct stories.
• Track record of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Confident in conversing and delivering recommendations to decision makers.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, including a proven track record of prioritizing key business needs.
• Must be an excellent verbal communicator and have strong written communication skills
• Expert in all MS Office products. (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
