RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is working with a growing advertising firm based in Jersey City, NJ that is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team. This position is full time, direct hire and is hybrid on-site 1 day a week or as needed. Summary:The Senior Systems Engineer will provide enterprise level support for network systems spanning across multiple data centers and offices in the U.S. and Canada. This includes assisting in the analysis, planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancing large complex network systems, consisting of on-prem and cloud-based windows servers, Linux servers and a variety of storage and backup solutions (Rubrik, NetBackup, Veeam, DPM, DFS and SQL). Responsibilities also include diagnosing and troubleshooting system hardware and software failures and providing support to the DevOps and Applications Development teams as needed.Other responsibilities include Hardware and software configuration, patch management, system monitoring, system maintenance, and providing 24/7 support for system related issues and outages.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operation support of servers, storage and other network infrastructure components
  • Management and Administration of Active Directory/DNS/DHCP, GPOs and MS O365 suite of products
  • AWS Administration: IAM, SSO (roles & policy base access), ec2, Workspaces VDI, Route 53 DNS Management, Manage Snapshots of critical systems
  • Manage Access to all applications with Active Directory and OKTA integration
  • Maintain Nutanix Private Cloud Cluster, Storage and VMWare for daily operations and Disaster Recovery
  • Strong Single Sign On (SSO) Administration using OKTA
  • Administer daily backups and restores using Rubrik, Veeam, Veritas NetBackup, MS Data Protection Manager, DFS, and SQL
  • Build servers and virtual desktops on demand with AWS, VMware, MS Hyper-V, hardware
  • MS O365/Azure AD and Exchange Online Administration
  • Operation System monthly security patching


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related required
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting an enterprise network that consists of Active Directory, OKTA, SSO, DHCP, DNS. Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience providing windows, Linux, Exchange and O365 support
  • 5+ years of experience involvement planning, building and running an enterprise network
  • Extensive knowledge of OKTA administration and support
  • Extensive knowledge of backup and recovery administration and support
  • Knowledge on disaster recovery replication and at least 8 years experienced with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, O365, Citrix, Cisco VPN administration and support
  • Experience with Cloud based technologies such as AWS and Azure
  • Proficient in Citrix administration and support of virtual applications and devices
  • Must have knowledge of networking (i.e. IP Addressing and basic routing protocols)
Able to perform the following:
  • Create and maintain documentation for critical systems and application needed to run the business
  • Datacenter management services, including migration and consolidation for offices in US and Canada
  • Citrix administration: creating, maintaining, publishing virtual desktops and applications to end users
  • Manage server and desktop security with CrowdStrike Endpoint Security
  • Manage projects/tasks and tickets administration leveraging Jira and Manage Engine Service Desk
  • Manage Email and Spam protection using Proofpoint
  • Manage Passwords and secrets using Secret Server/Delinea and 1Password
  • Manage Meeting and Chat applications: Zoom, Microsoft Teams & Slack
  • Administration of Dropbox Business
  • Assist our Linux support admin with deployment and support as needed
  • Monitor Systems (HP SIM/OneView, PRTG Netmon and Newrelic) 24x7 to alert in case of hardware or services failures
  • Work closely with the InfoSec team to address/patch vulnerabilities as discovered to maintain security and business compliance


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
