The Grafton Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

As a Senior Residential Advisor, you will play a vital role in our leadership team by supervising the residential life program, with a particular emphasis on mentorship, community building, and student success. Your responsibilities go beyond managing day-to-day operations; they involve cultivating a sense of leadership and personal development within the residential community.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Mentorship: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to a team of Residential Advisors. Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Student Development: Collaborate with various departments to design and implement programs that promote the holistic development of students. Inspire and guide students in setting and achieving personal and academic goals.
  • Community Engagement: Facilitate the development of a vibrant and inclusive residential community. Organize and oversee events and activities that promote a sense of belonging and connection among students.
  • Crisis Management: Demonstrate effective crisis management skills, ensuring a prompt and appropriate response to emergencies or challenging situations within the residential setting.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with academic, recreational, and counseling departments to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment for student success. Collaborate with external partners to enhance the residential program.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of one year Job Corps or related program experience required. A valid in-State Driver's License preferred.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
