What you'll do...

Are you an Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Compliance expert? Interested in the intersection of regulations and field operations? We are looking for the next great associate to make our team whole.

This role will support all our EH&S programs focused on the implementation and execution of environmental health and safety regulatory requirements within all of our California facilities. Implementation and execution of policy and guidance, training support, and data analytics of EH&S programs, particularly environmental compliance, will be critical functions of this role. The Sr. Manager, Environmental Health & Safety - Field Team, drives the execution of Environmental Health & Safety Compliance programs in California as well as business plans and projects for Environmental Health & Safety Compliance (EH&S). Much of your time will be spent in the field traveling and supporting multiple California facilities by assessing their execution of EH&S programs and teaching and training associates at these facilities as needed. You will interact with regulatory agencies and their local representatives, responding to their questions or requests for information, while ensuring business needs are being met. Your actions will be guided by information and metrics related to global trends, standards, and national, state and local statutes and regulations, and global and national corporate risks and liabilities. You will manage the Environmental Health & Safety Compliance strategic vision for risk mitigation programs, data systems, and services; promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. You may also be called upon to support senior management with corporate representation to regulatory agencies and external organizations.

What you'll bring:

  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager or Professional (CHMM or CHMP) or equivalent relevant experience
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent
  • Juris Doctorate or have a Master's degree in the Sciences, Government Policy, or Engineering fields or equivalent relevant experience
  • You use data to understand problems and understand impact/risk and are comfortable with using tools, such as Excel spreadsheets, for data analysis and working with databases to create data-driven solutions
  • You're organized, disciplined, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective communication with the ability to interact with senior leadership and internal and external stakeholders and can make complex subjects easily understood
  • You're a self-starter that can operate in a complex collaborative corporate structure with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting federal, state, and local regulations and interacting with regulators
  • A process-mind that looks for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams within a corporate environment
  • High standards and can hold project contributors accountable

What you'll do:
  • Teaching, training, and providing support to our associates in the field: Assess execution of EH&S programs and provide teaching and training, as needed, to field associates; provide feedback to corporate EH&S program managers on ways to improve execution of their programs.
  • Enhancing program effectiveness and efficiencies: Develop and implement changes to program requirements, systems, and processes to be more efficient and effective; identify program gaps and solutions.
  • Improve data quality: Collaborate with global stakeholders on data improvement opportunities for better risk identification.
  • Identify and mitigate risk: Establish metrics and processes for risk identification/monitoring associated with fines and penalties, and work with various stakeholders to mitigate risks as appropriate.
  • Build strategic relationships: Build relationships with business partners to help drive priorities.

The annual salary range for this position is $99,000.00-$198,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives

Minimum Qualifications...
