Responsibilities

The Commercial Strategy & Insights (CSI) Senior Associate role for CNS at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals supports the customer and commercial insights needs for CNS inline brands and development assets. The CSI Senior Associate will be responsible for conducting market research, competitive intelligence, and other commercial insights generation for assets that are designed/indicated to treat people living with serious mental illness. The CSI Senior Associate role will help support market research and competitive intelligence needs in Digital Medicine/Therapeutics and/or Long-Acting Injectables. The role reports to the CSI Director for CNS and will collaborate with CSI colleagues and other Otsuka stakeholders. The CSI Senior Associate is expected to conduct insightful and actionable market research that will positively impact customers, ecosystems, and brand decision making. Key stakeholders for the CNS CSI Senior Associate include Brand Teams and Commercial Excellence.

The CSI Senior Associate is responsible for engaging with key Otsuka stakeholders to determine Key Business Questions and will work closely with their manager to design, execute, and manage market research and competitive intelligence projects. In addition, the CSI Senior Associate is expected to commission and partner with MR agencies for primary and secondary research in the US and international markets, as needed. The CSI Senior Associate position requires close collaboration with Commercial Analytics partners and key brand stakeholders. The person in this position will be part of the Commercial Strategy & Insights organization and work directly with the CNS brand teams.

• Familiarity with Qualitative and Quantitative primary market research

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with marketing/sales partners
• Strong team player with good leadership skills

Learning Expectations:

• Market research approaches/techniques to drive deeper insights
• Secondary market research data, including prescription data, patient-level data, sales data
• How to apply the correct MR tools/techniques throughout a product's lifecycle
• MR agency evaluation, selection, and management for different MR projects

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a marketing sciences/business analysis/business operations role in the pharmaceutical or consumer package goods industry (client or vendor side)
• Bachelor's degree
• MBA/Graduate degree or working towards degree a plus
