Security Manager

Location: Durham, NC

This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles the Elevance Health PulsePoint location listed above.

The Security Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day development, deployment, and integration of assigned functional areas, and manages and measures functional processes that will support the overall business in an efficient and effective manner.

How you will make an impact:

  • Monitor security events on a daily basis for suspicious activities and identify potential security threats and violations.
  • Establish vision, direction, and specific objectives for team efforts; encourage collaboration.
  • Promote HR policies and procedures in people management activities.
  • Conduct communications that involve obtaining cooperation on issues that may be complex or controversial.
  • Utilize negotiation and persuasion to come to agreement with others.
  • Conduct external communications with a high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills to build effective long-term relationships typically with middle level contacts in customer and vendor organizations.
  • Accountable for the effective delivery of Physical Security projects to achieve the strategic and operational plan.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires BA/BS degree in a related field of study and a minimum of 10 years of experience within Security Management, including a minimum of 5 years of experience managing or leading others; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
