JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary responsibilitywill be to work closelywith traffic office and floor specialist in order to maximizethe picking layout and picking efficiencies. Person would look ahead at future orders, work with the specialist and Material Handlers to re-slot product in the racks/floor to maximize picking efficiencies during the waving process with traffic. Person would closely with inventory to ensure inventory accuracy of all product and correct product systemlocation. Report any issues with staying on schedule to supervision. Incumbent will utilize computer system to execute all aspects of the processes in the area. Person will be responsible for the timely communication of any issues or schedule changes. Review inventory position daily and weekly against requirements. Assist supervisors with training and communication if necessary. Cross training in other areas may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsiblefor slotting product on the floor to maximize picking efficiencies in operations
  • Ability to support all specialist positions within the facility and back-up when needed.
  • Execute all aspects of the operation verifyingprocesses are in accordance with company standards.
  • Responsible for process improvement and cost reduction through staffing and work demand.
  • Knowledge of the PKMS warehouse management system used.
  • Ensure an orderly and neatly maintained working area
  • Carry out all necessaryfunctionsto ensure area meets expectations and schedules
  • Maintain timely and effective communication among team members and management staff
  • Be involved in training associates
  • Participate in physical inventory
  • Preform other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • College preferred, High School Diploma or equivalentrequired.
  • Read, Write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide- understand implied instructions.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Job related knowledge should include specific processes within the department.
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of WMS
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Basic leadership skills and a good working relationship with peers needed.
  • Must have the ability to coordinate multipletasks and be able to work under stress.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend distribution/production business is required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing procedures, policies, and work environment.
  • Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must be available to work overtime and work at satellite facilities as needed
  • May be required to operate powered equipment such as high reach, forklift and or a powered pallet jack.
