Returned Goods & Receiving Supervisor

National Coatings and Supplies, Inc. is looking for a Returned Goods & Receiving Supervisor to join our team. This person will manage the daily work schedules of a team of 2 or more people within a returned goods department, providing leadership and direction to maintain proper workflow and productivity. Supervising DC associates and performing tasks that include receiving, unloading trucks, stacking, inspecting, and sorting returned products.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, and assign specific responsibilities to distribution center associates
• Monitor employee productivity, accuracy, and other performance markers and provide coaching to employees, as required.
• Coordinate and schedule pick up, provide shipping documents and assistance to stores. Provides support to achieve distribution center objectives and meet customer requirements
• Provide documentation and schedule pickups when needed and inspect all returns for damage, shelf life and product shortages.
• Communicate directly with participating stores with any concerns involving returned goods and issue credits to participating locations.
• Ensure the proper handling and recording of all hazardous materials.
• Able to use computer and bar-coding equipment in a \"paperless\" warehouse work environment.
• Recommend changes in procedures to improve the operating efficiency of the unit.
• Coordinate work with operations manager, warehouse manager, and call center concerning shipments, merchandise shortages, etc.
• Familiar with company policies and procedures, including human resources policies.
• Ensure maintenance of equipment and a safe, clean working environment.
• Must be able to operate stand up electric forklift
• Ability to open and close the Distribution Center and enforce all Company work and safety rules.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• HS Diploma/ GED
• 1-3 years of related experience preferred
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain a certification required
• Ability to use handheld bar code scanning equipment in a paperless warehouse is required
• Ability to stand and walk up to 7 hours at a time is required
• Ability to lift 20lbs regularly and up to 50lbs on occasion
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
