POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages the performance of testing and inspection on product, as well as, packaging per quality control program. Provide guidance, expertise and leadership to Lab Technicians.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

  • Manage all aspects of Quality Assurance.
  • Ensure the performance of testing and inspection on product, as well as, packing quality control program.
  • Responsible for the implementation of company's quality control program, as well as, quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, reviews and audits SOP's.
  • Ensures implementation of company policies, rules and regulations regarding safety, discipline, Good Manufacturing Practices, etc.
  • Monitors raw material yields and recommends waste reduction measures.
  • Evaluates lab testing methods and proposes improvements and equipment needs.
  • Evaluations effectiveness of process control and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to Lab Technicians.
  • May conducts performance reviews.
  • May participate in interviews.
  • May coach, counsel and provide discipline up to and including termination of employment as necessary or recommend such.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and 5 years Quality Assurance Management experience; OR 7 years Quality Assurance Management experience.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Knowledgeable in FSSC certification process.
  • Knowledgeable in the Pepsi QAS audit process.
  • Related training or certification.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Previous experience in a union environment.

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Potential earning is from $84,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually
