Your new company
Our client is an established civil contractor who has been in the industry for over 50 years. They have multiple offices across Northern California, with a focus on CALTRANS road and freeway projects. They self-perform all projects from grading, water and paving, and have a 24-hour maintenance division that maintains emergency repair contracts. This job will be based in the Tracy CA area.

Your new role
Your role as a Project Engineer will be to work closely with the civil construction team throughout the lifecycle of the project. Your day-to-day duties will consist of liaising with project managers and superintendents, coordinating with subcontractors reporting on cost and schedules as well as assisting with change orders and invoices. You will also be required to troubleshoot any issues and work on solutions to key problems. You will be looking to join a close-knit team where you can grow and develop your long-term career.

What you'll need to succeed
You will come with at least 2 years' experience working as a project engineer, ideally for a civil construction organization. A bachelor's degree is not required but would be looked upon favorably. Exceptional communication skills as well as the attitude to learn and develop are necessary for this position.
