Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete a deep analysis of the execution of large projects for an agile identification of the main technical and economic risks.
  • Regular monitoring and control of the analyzed project performing different investigations that support value judgment and identifying unnecessary costs and expenses incurred.
  • Prepare and present executive reports to upper management concerning cost, schedule and forecasts. The candidate must have the capacity for synthesis.
  • Provide functional advice and support to managers in the organization for development, implementation and maintenance of field processes.
  • Design of data analysis tools as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of the methodology used.
  • After a period of 3 - 4 years in this Directorate, will become part of corps of Project Managers on a national and international environment.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Main requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with a financial background or financial education and experience in heavy construction projects.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry (vertical and horizontal works). Desirable experience working for subcontractors.
  • Expert understanding of the application of project controls in the construction environment.
  • Other requirements:
  • Candidates must demonstrate multi-tasking experience working in large teams and solving complex problems.
  • Knowledge of the processes and systems of economic project management.
  • Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines.
  • Ability and experience to communicate to a group and to make presentations in public.
  • Capacity to coordinate and plan a project planning with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to travel to different locations in North America (up to 60-75%).
  • The candidates must be users of the following software: Accounting systems (ERP), Forecasting tools (HCSS or similar), Planning (Primavera P6 and MS Project), and Microsoft office suite SW (Excel ,Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Power BI, BIM and Autocad would be an advantage.
