JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently recruiting for a Process Engineer Trainer/Mentor with experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. As the Process Engineer Trainer/Mentor you will be responsible for process and production engineering support in an active chemical manufacturing plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Train and mentor new engineers in the basics of process engineering for the support and optimization of new and existing equipment and systems using knowledge and application of chemical engineering fundamentals.
• Ensure that new engineers complete the process engineering for each task assigned in a timely and efficient manner which meets the needs of the process plant.
• Report status of the tasks regularly.
• Train the new engineers to co-ordinate with others to understand scope and schedule for all tasks and prioritize these as needed to complete each on time.
• Mentor new engineers as they prepare process data supporting changes and documenting existing systems in the plant.
• Mentor new engineers to perform engineering calculations as needed.
• Train new engineers to properly document design decisions as data sheets and other documents.
• Take reasonable care of your own health & safety and of others who may be affected by you.
• Implement established procedures to ensure compliance to Quality and HSSE requirements.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in Quality and HSSE and notify the relevant department.

• 30+ years' experience in process engineering for chemical manufacturing facilities.
• Good experience and skill set in the use of Microsoft's suite of office products.
