Process Control Specialist

Where will you work: Onsite (South Fort Meade - - 5880 Manley Rd. Fort Meade FL. 33841)

The Process Control Specialist is a highly motivated professional/technician working as a key member of a team. You will be involved extensively in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of PLCs/PACs, HMIs, DCSs and Networks to optimize the efficiencies of the mining operations.

What you'll do?

• Lead by example on safety programs and policies.
  
• Program PLCs, HMIs, Networks etc.
  
• Assist Electrical and Instrumentation personnel in troubleshooting complex equipment issues and minimize downtime.
  
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques to identify the root cause of process issues/upsets.
  
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques and control system knowledge to identify root cause of operational problems.
  
• Perform training and coaching for changes as required and assist in training efforts requested by Plant Operations.
  
• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes to enhance efficiency, production, and quality.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and maintenance.
  
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost reduction, and drive their implementation.
  
• Stay current in latest technologies in automation hardware and software, process controls, process simulation and networking.
  
• Provide technical leadership in developing Automation standards, software and hardware infrastructure and system optimization for plant process control systems and control schemes.
  

• High School/GED required. Associate degree preferred.
  
• Additional work experience may be used in lieu of an associate degree with 3-5 years of related experience.
  
• Experience with process control / process automation programming and troubleshooting.
  
• Experience in electrical/controls/automation/instrumentation.
  
• Proven understanding of PLC hardware and programming is required; Allen Bradley and Yokogawa CentumVP knowledge preferred.
  
• Working knowledge of Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs); FactoryTalkView SE/ME, Yokogawa
  
• Ability to read and understand schematics (Electrical, Instrumentation, P&ID, Single Line etc.).
  
• Functional knowledge of Proportional, Integral, Derivative (PID) control
  
• Basic database & computer programming knowledge
  
• Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting (EtherNet/IP and ControlNet)
  
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows environment
  
• Capable of working collaboratively with all levels of the organization and in a team environment
