Compensation: $20.98/hr

The Preventative Specialist primary duty is to present child abuse prevention programming to parents, educators, and students in school districts within the assigned county. They are responsible for the development, organization, and presentation of training for multidisciplinary team members, child serving agencies, and community members.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm. This candidate will cover schools primarily located in Franklin County, but also in other counties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC:

* Provide child abuse prevention programs in school districts within the assigned county
* Identifies the needs for training within identified counties
* Develops, organizes, and presents training in the area of child abuse issues to MDT members, child serving agencies, and community organizations
* Conducts and grades Post-Tests for individuals receiving trainings
* Keeps organized records of all trainings provided, including post-test scores
* Provides timely statistics for Prevention Program attendees to Executive Director, upon request
* Assists in grant writing process to secure funding for Prevention Program
* Assists in CAC fundraising efforts
* Assists the Executive Director as needed
* All other duties as assigned



Bachelor's Degree (four year or technical school) in Social services or other related field preferred.

QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

* One (1) plus years of experience with social services or related field preferred
* Maintain Missouri Mandated reporter training each year
* Attend Missouri ChildFirst training upon hiring required
* A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
