The Point-of-Care (POC) business develops and sustains solutions for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) testing of biological specimen at the point of need . Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as the PMO Leader, POC R&D . The successful candidate will lead and influence a cross-functional program team to deliver complex programs and critical projects aligned with the strategy of the POC business at Siemens Healthineers and lead the Operational Excellence team for PoC R&D . This position is part of the POC P roject Management Office (PMO) and reports to the Head of the PMO .

As the P MO leader, POC R&D you will be responsible for :

  • Coaching a team of Project Managers working across all POC customer areas on assay/consumable and instrumentation initiatives
  • Defining/supporting the Program Management strategy for POC to ensure transparency and efficient delivery .
  • Interfacing with POC Functional Managers , Business Line leadership and Finance for resource management and project prioritization to ensure maximum efficiency in execution .
  • Leading all cross-functional aspects of product development to launch complex programs/projects on time, at cost and with quality while adhering to Siemens Healthineers' Product Development Process
  • Lead ing all aspects of program planning including the incorporation of cross-functional plans, identification of the Critical Path resulting in a robust execution for all programs/projects assigned .
  • Assist ing Upstream Marketing in creating a front-end innovation process that is based on customer needs .
  • Track ing and communicat ing roadmap/pipeline metrics to the Innovation Council ; identify actions to optimize pipeline performance as changes occur .
  • L ead, engage and develop a team of project managers with in the operational excellence team in developing strategy and in implementing process and tools for continuous improvement/productivity, resources management (headcount and OpEx / CapEx ) and Product Lifecycle management tools.
  • Supporting the Head of PMO in their capacity as R&D Chief of Staff
  • Assist in the execution of the R&D strategy .
  • Prepare and conduct leadership meetings, track actions, collect and summarize input, facilitate cross-functional buy-in.
  • Create templates and dashboards to track and improve R&D performance .
  • Own and drive required reporting to senior managemen t .
  • Nurture and strengthen a culture of continuous learning from past success and failures .
  • This remote role would entail ~25 % of travel to support product/program needs.

  • Required education, experience & skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life-Sciences, Engineering or equivalent experience is required . Master's degree in these disciplines and/or an MBA is preferred.
  • 1 5 + years of experience in product development and /or managing complex projects related to medical devices, IVD instrument and/or assays .
  • Working knowledge of FDA, ISO and IVDR regulations related to development of IVD products required
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical trials in tandem with an in-house Clinical Affairs team or through external CRO in the management and execution of clinical trials is preferred and would be a differentiator.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in a global matrix structure with superior influencing skills, change management and coordination .
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire a vision and motivate teams to achieve results .

  • Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills including ability to present highly technical topics in a clear and concise manner .

    The pay range for this position is $179,040 - $268,560 U.S. dollars annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as where the work will be performed.
