Support Services for Veterans Families (SSVF)

Day-To-Day

• Engages in street outreach and outreach through homeless service providers
• Identifies and develop relationships with those chronically street homeless veterans identified during outreach
• Must be willing to treat all clients with dignity and respect
• Utilizes Volunteers of America's electronic record System Service Point to track clients
• Provides advocacy in obtaining community services

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Human Services or related field
  
• 1 year experience working with people who are homeless, veterans and/or disabled
• Any combination of 1 years health/social services experience and/or education
  
• Valid Texas Driver's License and ability to be insured.
