Position Summary :

The NVH Lead Test Engineer will lead our project teams from a technical perspective. You are passionate about developing & refining test procedures, crafting & explaining CARs, (Capital Expenditure Requests) and serving as an authority for engineering activities (DFMEA's, Design Reviews) and root cause development. (Ishikawa, 5 Whys, etc.)

You interface closely with the group manager to ensure the overall execution of the team meets standards related to data analysis/processing techniques & final reporting in support of Large Tractor development.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate an enhanced proficiency of NVH principles/practices & mission data development. Use these techniques to solve sophisticated problems & complete development/test plans independently.

Lead the technical direction of the NVH team, which may include junior engineers, technicians, contractors, and/or co-ops.

Collaborate with a cross-functional team of project partners as the Authority to define project scope, targets, test/analysis plans, & budget estimates.

Owner of test procedures & development methodologies of assigned Tractor FBD (Functional Block Diagram) sub-systems. Collaborate with teams to define & develop new procedures as innovation drives new areas of testing.

Build thorough test requests with clear procedure and acceptance criteria.

Contribute in design reviews, DFMEA's, and other project definition activities to share your technical understanding of our product and how it should function for the end customer.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural or related engineering subject area.

6 plus years relevant product development and validation experience

2 plus years experience applying NVH test instrumentation (microphones, accelerometers, etc.) with data acquisition tools (LMS SCADAS, DEWEsoft, eDAQ, SQuadriga or similar).

2 plus years experience with sound/vibration signal processing and sound quality analysis using Test.lab, ArtemiS or similar.

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal Candidate will have:

Master's Degree in Engineering

Agricultural background and/or passion for off-road equipment. Knowledge of tractor systems (and/or other off-road equipment) and operation. Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining on/off-road vehicles or other equipment.

Familiarity with the principles of operation of transducers and data acquisition equipment.

Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment as well as be self-motivated to work independently while balancing multiple tasks and projects.

Experience working in a fast-paced data-driven environment.

Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical colleagues to influence direction.
