Description: Our client is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Part Time 1/2 day and full day rates available The Judge Group is seeking qualified Nurse Practitioners to join our provider network in Buffalo, New York as independent contractors to perform general medical disability examinations for Veterans. As a certified medical disability examiner, you will administer & complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) to veterans, gather and synthesize clinical evidence through medical and military record review, diagnostic testing, interviews with Veterans, and face-to-face examinations, and develop a medical opinion of the likelihood that the Veteran's condition is related to their military service. To qualify, you must have a Master's Degree in Nursing, an active and unrestricted license in the state in which exams are performed, graduate from an accredited program and board certification from ANCC or AANP, an agreement for a collaborating or supervising physician, where applicable, and 2 years of work experience as a Nurse Practitioner The examinations primarily consist of interviews, supplemented with some physical assessments such as range of motion testing and muscle strength testing. The job involves low risk with no treatment or prescription of medications involved. Most providers can commence work within 2-3 weeks of receiving an offer, with paid training included. Training is comprehensive and will cover all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). It is online/modules based and lasts on average roughly 16 hours.
