Plans and administers anesthesia to patients according to established procedures.
Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement
1. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
2. Eligibility for certification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
3. Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and successful completion of an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will hold current certification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
The preferred candidate will have current ACLS training.
The preferred candidate will have their Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia.
The preferred candidate will have successfully completed an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
The preferred candidate will have experience as a CRNA.
The preferred candidate will have experience in the administration of anesthesia to high risk oncology patients.
