Job Title: Telephony Platform Technologies Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telephony Platform Technologies Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our telephony platform technologies, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability for clients within the automotive industry. Additionally, this role involves managing a team of telephony engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and support.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies for the ongoing enhancement and evolution of telephony platform technologies tailored to meet the unique needs of automotive industry clients.
Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to a team of telephony engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telephony platforms.
Platform Management: Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of telephony platforms, including Legacy VoIP solutions, and related infrastructure, ensuring alignment with automotive industry standards and requirements.
Vendor Management: Partnering with the Offer Manager to evaluate and manage relationships with telephony platform vendors to ensure the selection of appropriate technologies and timely issue resolution.
Quality Assurance: Implement processes and procedures for quality assurance, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain high levels of service availability and reliability for automotive industry clients.
Security Compliance: Ensure telephony platforms adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements, implementing security measures to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities specific to the automotive sector.
Client Engagement: Collaborate with automotive industry clients to understand their telephony requirements, provide expert advice and recommendations, and deliver customized solutions tailored to their needs.
Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the telephony engineering team, providing coaching, training, and mentorship to enhance skill sets and capabilities.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of telephony platform configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure system integrity for automotive clients.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and innovation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of telephony platform operations within the automotive industry.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, telecommunications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing telephony platform technologies in a managed services or telecommunications environment, with a focus on servicing clients in the automotive industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of telephony protocols, standards, and technologies, including PBX systems, VoIP, SIP, RTP, and IP telephony.
  • Experience managing a team of telephony engineers, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
  • Familiarity with telephony platform deployment and management tools, such as Broadworks, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders within the automotive industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Compensation: $160,000 - $190,000

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.We offer Medical, dental, and vision benefits in addition to:
