Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer supports new product development for the company's Thermal global products. The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the physical design of new products. This engineer must be a practical hands-on type of engineer who can start with an abstract concept and see it through to product launch.

Responsibilities:

• Creates/modifies mechanical Parts/Assemblies/drawings in CAD systems, such as Creo and/or Solid Edge.
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials and unit configurator logic to select the correct BOM's based on options selected by the customer.
• Works with Marketing, Manufacturing, Service and Quality to understand their requirements to design a product that best meets all of their needs.
• Assist with prototype builds by providing technical support and providing guidance when issues arise.
• Gather feedback from prototype builds and field trials and implement appropriate improvements to the product.
• Understands the products, suggest ideas and improvements.
• Assists with troubleshooting of escalated or re-occurring field issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or technical diploma with extensive experience.
• 2+ years of engineering product development or support experience.
• Basic working knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, products, and safety.
• Proficiency with mechanical CAD tools - Creo, Solid Edge, or Solid Works.
• Experience with Sheetmetal, piping and assemblies is a plus.
• Create and revise drawings and bills of materials.
• Change order management and Data-entry systems familiarity - Oracle, Agile, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and methodically.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional global development teams.
