Description

Perform all phases of aircraft structural repair to include: Manufacturing parts and assemblies Identification and fabrication of tooling, jig/fixture requirements and support Input/review of engineering designs, work with engineers to write work instructions Use bending, cutting, shrinking/stretching machine, press brake, metal shears, hand and pneumatic tools, specialty tooling, and create/modify tooling as needed Work within specified tolerances, drilling holes and reaming holes to final size Oversee test or project events as assigned by Production Manager, report status and results. Will multi-task and work multiple projects daily Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education/Training (both required and desired):
  • Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline required
    
    
• Experience:
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the required task area required
  • Ability to interpret military specifications, FAA regulations and read/understand aircraft drawings/blueprints
  • Working knowledge of installation/removal of solid rivets, blind rivets, hi-lok, rivet nuts and specialty fasteners
  • Knowledge of in-process inspection procedures, inspection of parts/assemblies to meet military specifications
  • Aircraft structural experience preferred
• Travel:
  • Must be willing to do Contract Field Team Modifications TDYs to stateside and overseas locations for up to 3 months

• Security:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
