Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer (MPE) to join our Light Industrial Business Maintenance Team. As an MPE, your primary responsibility will be collaborating with the maintenance department to provide support for CNC and Automation machine issues. This multifaceted role involves direct engagement in daily manufacturing equipment support, creating PMs, data collection, and analysis. You'll also serve as a bridge between the maintenance and manufacturing teams, working together to resolve operational challenges, execute root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.

Furthermore, you will play a role in developing data and reporting infrastructure solutions that empower the maintenance team to evolve into a modern Industry 4.0 organization. These solutions are designed to enhance reliability, support, and move from preventive to predictive maintenance and drive self-directed team projects.

Using your experience with Lean and Six Sigma processes, you'll help seek initiatives to improve safety, enhance quality, reduce cost, and increase earnings.

Who you are and the experience you bring:

  • Manage/lead maintenance-related projects from concept to completion; develop project specifications, quote with external and internal suppliers/contractors, communicate project status/updates, manage project scope/budget/timeline, etc.
  • Recommend and provide support and expertise related to maintenance process improvements.
  • Research Maintenance Process needs and develop a budget/project plan.
  • Support operational improvements by working on cross-functional teams to provide creative and sustainable solutions to our manufacturing process issues.
  • Document process modifications and establish training aides.
  • Develop and maintain our new CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, or other STEM programs
  • 3+ years of Maintenance focused support in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • Programming Experience in Java, C++, or Python
  • A passion for seeking and delivering process improvements.
  • Collaboration skills, a flexible and friendly approach to working in a team environment, and the attitude to always strive for the most effective outcomes.
  • Experience with MS Office and SolidWorks
  • Project Management experience
  • Statistical analysis
  • Strong critical analysis skills and the ability to get to the root cause of problems.
Preferred experience that differentiates you:
  • Experience facilitating and/or participating in Kaizens.
  • Database management tool experience with the ability to write queries.
  • Project Management Certification
  • Experience with any of the following: Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Analysis Software, GD&T, VSM, DFM, pFMEA, dFMEA, Structured Problem Solving
  • Programming and configuring digital manufacturing solutions such as ERP and MES
  • Power BI experience

$63,029.82-$105,051.76 AnnualThis is the base pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.
Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
