Position Overview
The Central Assembly Team is seeking to add an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to the team. This position will play a crucial role as a project manager driving improvements in assembly ergonomics, value stream capacity, test fixture design, and new product development. You will be the technical expert and change agent, supporting a printed circuit board and electro-mechanical assembly team of associate owners.
Who you are and the experience you bring:
Process Flow - Utilize advanced Lean/6-sigma practices to set the future state vision and persistently drive to eliminate waste. Lead teams to identify, prioritize, and execute projects to enhance product flow through the value stream.
Safety - Engineer solutions to resolve safety & ergonomic risks. Owns the development of safety procedures and ensures integration into production processes. Participates on all injury investigations and drive Safety Track cause/risks to closure aggressively.
Technical Support - Lead and/or mentor technical staff to provide daily support to production teams for technical issues that arise. Manage capital expenditures and equipment to support production of current and future products.
Quality - Ensure production area processes operate within quality metrics. Identify trends in quality performance and execute root cause analysis and corrective action plans. Answer customer corrective action requests for field product quality issues.
Process Design - Design tooling, fixtures and workstations essential for new product introduction to the production cells. Provide "Design For Manufacturing and Assembly" input to design engineers for current and future products. Participate in cross-team "Failure Mode Effect Analysis" to proactively mitigate failure modes in both process and design.
New Equipment - Manage investigation, capital justification and purchase of new equipment and tooling. Participate in the definition of the equipment/process technology roadmap for the annual operating plan.
