What You Will Be Doing In this Key Manufacturing/Industrial engineering position in a growing and dynamic manufacturing environment, as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will work on a small team, and will be responsible for leading performing a variety of engineering activity in support of the factory and manufacturing process including equipment engineering, tooling design, performing process development with DOEs for new product development, and implementing a fully documented manufacturing process. You will also work regularly to improve the manufacturability of new products by applying DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles to all new products via being a communication bridge between internal teams and customers, during the development process.

Manufacturing processes include: Fine Blank stamping, various production grinding operations, CNC milling, CNC turning, solvent and AQ cleaning processes, EDM machining, lapping, and various deburring technologies.

Additional duties include:
"Communicate effectively in person and in writing with production operators, supervisors, managers and customers.
"Use of computers and applicable software for data analysis, reports, communication and IT systems.
"Troubleshoot process and equipment failures and implement effective improvements to prevent re occurrence.
"Document existing processes through creation of work instructions applicable to process or part specific requirements.
"Participate and/or lead engineering meetings to plan and execute new product development and production startup.
"Work environment primarily office and inspection lab with some exposure to industrial manufacturing areas (machining, grinding, stamping).
What You Need for this Position Ideally qualified candidates for a senior level role, will bring a Bachelors degree in technical field and a target of 5 years, give or take, of relevant experience required.

We are Open to considering candidates with LESS experience, but they need to be on the right career path track, with relevant experience.

We are ALSO possibly open to MORE SENIOR candidates, depending on the skill-set overlap....in all cases, compensation will be adjusted according to the experience of the candidate.

Desired experience includes:
"Experience and skills to develop, lead and manage a team of engineers and production staff performing a variety of manufacturing processes to produce precision metal parts.
"Experience with precision mechanical inspection metrologies (all type of contact and non contact methods).
"Strong analytical skill in statistics, GRR, SPC and design of experiments (six sigma, TQC, etc..), and familiar with using statistical software (JMP/Minitab)
"Excellent communication skills and confident working with customers, peers and suppliers on all aspect of product quality and process qualification.
"A good working knowledge various manufacturing process including metal forming, CNC machining, grinding, finishing, and general industrial machinery found in a machine shop.
