Vertiv, a global leader in network power solutions, seeks a Manager - Corporate FP&A at its global HQ located in Columbus, OH. Reporting to the Director - Global FP&A, the successful candidate will provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, business analytics, leadership in business decision support, and budget management oversight in support of company growth in revenue and profitability. The ideal candidate is committed to root cause analysis that delivers insight, not just information, and regularly displays an inquisitiveness that craves continuous learning and drives improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ownership of the global balance sheet and cash flow forecast
  • Leads global business process redesign initiatives and other special projects
  • Assists in consolidation of global financial budgets and forecasts
  • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
  • Establishes and supports development of a robust planning and forecasting process that yields a "no surprises" environment
  • Drive standardization of key metrics, performance indicators, and periodic reporting
  • Prepare financial forecasts, analyses and presentations for the investor community, Vertiv executive team and the Board of Directors
  • Educate management on critical metrics through regular reporting and analysis
  • Ensures that the business units maintain an outcome-driven, metric oriented culture
  • Attracts and develops future finance leaders for the organization
  • Support the broader mission of the finance and accounting function as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of finance, business development, or strategy experience preferred
  • Previous experience working in a large, global environment strongly preferred
  • Strong influencing skills, including the ability to persuade others point-of-view by making logical arguments and aligning to business requirements
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to think about complex issues using scientific/critical thinking approach to solve problems and make sound judgments
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to discern from available data what should be pertinent to upper levels of management
  • Proven track record of delivering commitments and working effectively with peers outside of the Finance function
  • Experience in a consolidation system (particularly Hyperion/Essbase) is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated experience successfully implementing process improvements
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in team and/or group settings
  • Ability to develop and articulate general strategies and detailed operational plan
