What's the role?

The Team

Our team is part of the Platform Foundation organization and contributes to the Billing Accounting and Mediation Tribe for providing accurate usage and billing systems for all HERE products leading the location intelligence services.
The Tribe is made up of 50 people working globally in an Agile and DevOps culture.
We are responsible for 100% data accuracy company-wide, always striving for ways to make things more efficient as we are dealing with 15 billion transactions per day with a strong growth.
Big data environment, Event driven architecture, streaming technologies and pipelines are bringing challenges and a lot of fun on brainstorming to tackle problems due to the huge amount of data.

Your Role

You will contribute on the development of key internal and customer-facing applications. You will work closely with Project Managers, Architects, Data Analysts and other developers in a fast-paced multi-cloud environment and big data technologies with high volume streaming and storages. You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions and algorithms for processing very high-volume data real time as well as helping other software developers in the team to provide technical guidance.

This is a full-time position based in Burlington, Massachusetts, with flexible WFH and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and Design solutions for common needs across stakeholders.
• Deliver software with continuous integration and automated testing.
• Deployment of production ready systems and infrastructure.
• Working with Product Management and Architecture Team, end users and incorporating feedbacks into the solutions.
• Improve the Quality of solutions and continuously modernize the technical stack.
• Optimize solutions and operational resources for cost control.

Who are you?

You are a self-motivated, creative, and proactive team-player who has experience developing and deploying production-grade services in large organizations with compliance requirements. You have experience with all aspects of the production software lifecycle, from creating development plans to deployment of software into production ready, stable environments. You have experience working with customers and incorporating their feedback into the product roadmap.

• Strong programming skills with 8+ years of experience.
• Proficient in Back-end development (Java and Python).
• Experience working with pipeline and streaming data (Flink, Kafka ...)
• Experience with large databases (No SQL and SQL like Redshift) as well as with large cloud file storage like S3, HDFS.
• Experience building and using REST APIs, designing micro-services with Docker/Kubernetes and troubleshooting cloud based distributed applications.
• DevOps Experience running production big data services on cloud-based environment (AWS EMR).
• Experience with CI/CD, Apache Airflow, Gitlab.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Graphana and Splunk).
