Lead Quality Auditor - 1st shift

Must be able to work overtime and on weekends when required

The primary responsibility of this job is to audit incoming product by pulling samples from shipments as received. Inspect product quality and packaging compliance with specifications and retailer requirements. The Lead Quality Auditor will serve an additional duty as communicator for local audit teams to receive instructions from Quality management and DC Operations teams; and communicate as needed. Lead will serve as communicator of audit events or team concerns to the Quality Manager. Lead has no supervisory responsibilities.

The Lead Quality Auditor will be in communication with multiple DC QA teams within a geographic area and may not be located in same location as their manager. The Lead Quality Auditor will have all the duties of a Sewing Auditor with the additional responsibilities of communication.

  • Identifying and pulling samples from Receiving.
  • Returning samples to location for DC to return to storage.
  • Auditing selection and evaluation of product for compliance to specifications of garment, packaging, and casing.
  • Confirm all labeling meets specifications.
  • Prepare audit reports on spreadsheets.
  • Take photos of defects.
  • File these reports and photos in SharePoint location for retrieval by others.
  • Communicate with QA Team regarding instructions provided by Manager.
  • May involve special project evaluations or retrieval of inventory in storage.
  • Communication with Manager on concerns of team.
  • Communication to Manager ofspecial findings in Audits that need further attention.
  • Communication with the DC Management as needed to move product that is sampled.
  • Communication in event product must be quarantined.

Compensation Information:

2nd Shift Pay Rate:$19.00

2nd Shift Differential:$1.00

Weekend Differential:Extra $2.00 Per shift

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Reading and writing literate.
  • Working mathematical knowledge.
  • Working calculator knowledge.
  • Communication skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure when needed.
  • Working knowledge of product is a plus.
  • Must be able to routinely lift cases weighing 35lbs.
  • Must have PC knowledge and be able to followinstructions from stated specifications sheets to ensure our products are within stated conformity.

Competencies and Behaviors:
  • Clear communication both verbal and written.
  • Must be literate on basic computer skills to assistothers who may be having difficulties with reporting on their job.
  • Helpful to be able to design simple spreadsheets and PowerPoints to report and illustrate data.
  • Helpful to be able to take clear and instructional photos.
  • Mature in reaction to new issues that arise.
  • Ability to communicate with other departments within assigned facilities.
