Schedule: 2nd shift

Starting pay rate: $18.30/hour

Job Summary:

  • This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly.
  • This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
  • Assist Supervisor in running Department. Assist in all job duties, setting up department and oversee all box room duties.
  • Daily inventory & pulling samples of labels being ran by production. Receiving, logging and delivery of all supplies.
  • Must communicate with outside vendors on a daily basis either by phone or in person.
  • This position requires using a forklift, hand jack and double reach to pull product and or when receiving product.
  • Must take accurate physical inventory.

Requirements:
  • Must complete an on-line job application in Workday.
  • Must be able to qualify to operate a forklift, hand jack and double reach.
  • Needs basic computer skills as this position enters purchasing, receiving and weekly inventory into Tyson's computer system.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Team Members, supervisors, and vendors by phone or in person.
  • Work independently with minimal Supervision at times.
  • Must be a full-time team member and have completed the 90-day probationary period. If there no qualified candidates, probationary team members will be considered.
  • Regularly lifting 50 to 70 pounds at a time.
  • Must have less than 8 points at the time of the bid and to be awarded the job.
