Inventory Worker I

Position Summary

Perform routine manual and clerical duties in inventory areas such as receiving, cleaning, stocking, storing, issuing, packaging, and/or shipping materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Enter information into the computer business system to process orders and ensure inventory accuracy.
Essential Functions

• Receive incoming material from trucks using forklifts and cranes, verify receipt of correct materials, uncrate materials using hand and power tools, tag and move material to proper locations.
• Clean received repair material in accordance with procedures and environmental regulations.
• Retrieve and deliver material from inventory for production as specified in barcode reader, manual lists and in accordance with pick parts templates.
• Retrieve material from inventory to fill Pick List and Sales Order/SRO requirements, package materials to be shipped safely and according to appropriate regulations, and load material onto trucks using forklifts and cranes.
• Confirm the pick list with items being shipped.
• Assist with inventory counts and perform reconciliation of cycle counts.
• Transport equipment, parts and materials between company facilities as needed.
• Know MEPPI�s Quality, Safety and Environmental policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.

• High School or GED, plus two years of work experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Applicable safety/operations training required to operate certain machinery and equipment (e.g., fork truck, crane).
• Basic knowledge of arithmetic and metric/standard measurements.
• Basic computer skills.
