Job Title: Radiology Tech - Interventional Radiology

Duties & Responsibilities: An Interventional Radiology Technologist assists interventional radiologists and other healthcare providers in performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. They work in hospitals, medical clinics, and outpatient radiology centers, using specialized imaging equipment and techniques to support patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Instructs and prepares patients for examinations and assists Radiologist during procedures.
• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in operation of all equipment and reports malfunctions to manager or lead.
• Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures to department advantage-assisting others and or assisting with room turnover
• Employee understands his/her role on maintaining medication security to authorized personnel only.
• Demonstrates competency in providing health care services in own job category to all age groups.
• Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships to all age groups.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 years experience
• BLS (AHA)
• NYS license (or able to obtain prior to start)
• VIR Certified-preferred
• Day/Evening/Night rotating shift schedule
• Vascular surgery coverage
