PURPOSE:

The Human Resources Manager originates and leads human resource practices and objectives that will provide a team member-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company team members; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains team member handbook and policies and procedures manual
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Handles team member relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing
  • Ensure compliance in all internal company policy and procedures relative to Human Resources
  • Supervises the staff of the Human Resources Department in Henderson
  • Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation and wage program and revises as necessary
  • Performs benefits administration to include change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to team members
  • Develops and administers an effective recruitment program; new team member orientations; and coordinates recruiting/advertisements
  • Ensure compliance with company Core Values and H3 Lean Principles
  • Performs or oversees all team member investigations and subsequent disciplinary action, if needed
  • Ensures compliance in State and Federal laws and regulations as it related to Human Resources
  • Assists with all legal issues that may arise relative to Human Resources
  • Assists in the preparation of payroll by overseeing the input of payroll changes, processing of new team members, change of status forms, wage adjustments, and terminations
  • Assist with maintaining Human Resource Information System records, Payroll records, Time and Attendance records and compiles reports from database
  • Oversees special events such as team member holiday parties, fundraisers, wellness fairs and various events by coordinating committees and schedules, and staying within budget
