POSITION SUMMARY: As a Director of Human Resources, Business Partner (HRBP) at FORTNA, a global company, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing human resources strategies to support the company's Supply Chain organization that encompasses our manufacturing and sourcing functions. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Human Resources (Global Operations), you will drive a partnership with key business leaders, manage employee relations, and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations that span across multiple sites globally.

This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of HR best practices in a global context. This role provides thought leadership and Human Resources expertise to support FORTNA's strategic employee and organizational talent related goals and objectives. This role will work in a matrixed environment with key leadership partners and peers as well as FORTNA employees on a full range of integrated Human Resources needs/issues (i.e., professional development, retention, employee relations, compensation, organizational design, strategic workforce planning, etc.) and collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (Comp & Ben, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards) as warranted.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Supporting leaders and managers across our global organization with coaching and guidance regarding org design, workforce planning, performance development, career navigation, etc.
  • Ensuring effective performance management, coaching, development, and succession planning tools and programs are in place, updated regularly, and deployed globally.
  • Initiating and managing succession management processes and ensuring plans are in place for talent pool candidates.
  • Support the manufacturing and sourcing organizations by ensuring accurate staffing numbers align with business forecast.
  • Supporting organization design efforts by leading and supporting communication and change efforts. Be the champion of change.
  • Acting as a steward of the Fortna culture by embracing and helping leaders and employees navigate and emulate The FORTNA Way behaviors/principles.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Oversee employee relations initiatives by providing guidance and support on employee relations matters, investigations, and legal compliance issues.
  • Providing strategic direction related to Associate training needs and the development training/onboarding programs as needed. Modifying existing program strategies to meet specific staff and organization needs.
  • Leading the Supply Chain Human Resources team and ensuring adequate shift and location coverage is provided for manufacturing and sourcing teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Onsite daily, Louisville, Kentucky area
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or related field
  • 10+ years of relevant Human Resources experience preferably as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
  • 5+ years working in manufacturing, supply chain or distribution industry
  • Experience supporting business units in a global matrixed organization
  • Understanding of Human Resources functional and technical areas including:
o Coaching and Employee Relations

o Organizational Design

o Strategic Workforce Planning

o Learning and Development and Performance Development

o Compensation and Benefits

o Talent Acquisition

o Change Management
  • Ability to work as an HR professional collaborating with all levels of management
  • Experience supporting team members, managers, and company leadership in multiple geographic areas, from and in different countries, and who possess different cultural perspectives
  • Experience developing and implementing employee engagement activities
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to work with ambiguity in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize duties
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, consulting, and problem-solving skills
  • Energetic professional who can effectively assess needs, identify potential options to meet the need, and effectively deliver the agreed-upon solution
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • Strong leadership coaching and mentoring skills

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 15% of the time
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • MBA or advanced HR degree
  • HR Certification: PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, Coaching, e.g.
  • Experience working in a professional services organization
  • Experience working in a virtual environment
  • Exceptional level of business acumen
  • Demonstrated experience in issue identification and resolution skills (identifying and implementing solutions, getting others to support proposed solutions)
  • Bi-lingual or multilingual

The base salary range for this role is $148,800 to $223,100. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
