Future Faculty Institute
College of the Holy Cross

Worcester, Massachusetts
$0.00 - $100.00 per hour

The Future Faculty Institute seeks to empower prospective faculty from historically marginalized populations by providing a critical platform for them to explore academic departments, establish meaningful connections with faculty and staff, engage in research discussions and workshops, and immerse themselves in the vibrant community and campus culture of Holy Cross. Recognizing the importance of diversity in higher education, this program is dedicated to fostering equity and cultivating a sense of belonging within academia.

By addressing concerns raised by activists and acknowledging the calls for increased faculty diversity, our institute aims to contribute to the solution by creating a space where scholars can connect with academic departments, engage in research, and build a supportive network. We are committed to addressing the lack of representation of historically marginalized groups in academia and acknowledge that diverse perspectives enhance the richness of intellectual discourse. This program seeks to break down barriers, eliminate disparities, and create an environment where all aspiring academics can thrive. By participating in this institute, individuals will not only gain valuable insights into their chosen fields but will also contribute to the creation of a more inclusive academic environment.

The Future Faculty Institute is open to all candidates, regardless of race, national of race, color, and/or national origin. Individuals who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply:

-Able to contribute in meaningful ways to the Holy Cross mission, inclusive excellence, pluralism, and individual differences. We encourage applicants of African American, Latin American, American Indian, or Alaskan Native descent, and others who are underrepresented and underserved in teaching professions at Holy Cross.
