• 2nd & 3rd shift: $19.60/hour + 8% Shift Premium
  

As a Fabrications Product Quality Inspector at Caterpillar, you will:

• Completes inspections of fabrication structures and undercarriage using standard work, a checklist, and tooling provided (gauges, templates, etc.).
  
• Performs overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection.
  
• Inspects welds on the product to ensure it meets the specifications as outlined by Engineering.
  
• Identifies defects, takes pictures, and records results in the defect management system.
  
• Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.
  

Basic Requirements:

• Basic Computer skills.
  
• Ability to use measuring tools and check gauges.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Lift parts up to 35 pounds individually.
  
• Occasional bending, reaching, and squatting while performing tasks.
  
• Consistent usage of required PPE for the task being performed.
  
• Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
  
• Ability to Stand at the workstation while performing tasks.
  

Top Candidates will also have:

• Knowledge of Caterpillar systems ATRS (Assembly Tracking and Reliability System), PINPoint, Geneo).
  
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).
  
• Previous quality, welding, or fabrication experience.
  

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM
  
• 3rd Shift: Sunday night - Friday morning 10:15 PM - 6:15 AM
  
• *Mandatory overtime required/Scheduled in advance*
