A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a key member of the Montrose team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
  • Oversee the preparation, set-up, testing/stack sampling, breakdown, and demobilization of projects.
  • This individual will provide support for testing activities and demonstrate leadership capabilities.
  • Use technical document compilation skills to complete proposals, test protocols, preparation sheets, reports and work authorizations.
  • Analyze and interpret source test data using PM, SOₓ, and NH₃ analysis.
  • Independently assemble, operate, and troubleshoot source testing equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
  • Assist with laboratory functions, and equipment maintenance.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding any customer needs and/or concerns.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to sixty percent or more, including overnight and weekends, as required.
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort, including lifting materials up to 50 pounds.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Associate's degree or higher, with an emphasis in biology, chemistry, math, or engineering strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience conducting source test projects in the field,
  • Demonstrated understanding of laboratory QA/QC procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with proven time management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical, laboratory or related experience preferred.
Licensures/Training Requirements:
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC)
Safety/Drug Screening:
  • Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening
  • Must be able to successfully pass a urine, alcohol, and hair drug test
  • Must have valid driver's license
Travel:
  • Ability/willingness for overnight and/or local travel for projects 20%-50% of the time or more. Weekend travel or work may be required during the year.
  • Must be able to travel via commercial airlines
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-discipline teams and motivate others
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Able to work independently, managing multiple responsibilities (i.e., self-starter, self-motivated)
  • Solid organization and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively
  • Strong writing and presentation of findings skills
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and resiliency to operate in a dynamic work environment
