Basic Job Functions:
The Environmental Manager develops and executes a strategy for the division that is in alignment with our enterprise sustainability strategy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: leading our bag-house and water treatment operations teams, managing the facilities environmental activities including compliance, permitting and building relationships with State and Federal environmental agencies; performing community outreach; partnering with all departments to drive continuous improvement; and developing and growing our team for future success.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• At least five years of leadership experience in maintenance or operations in manufacturing with a focus on safety and environmental excellence.
• Proven knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance standards and technical understanding of bag-house and water systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• BS degree in Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
• Registered environmental manager credentials or PE license.
• Experience in operations, maintenance, design of waste treatment, water treatment, bag-house, and air scrubbing systems.
